Trade for Jobs Uganda (2025–2030), co-led by the ILO and ITC with Sida funding, applies a market systems development (MSD) approach to strengthen Uganda’s tourism sector for inclusive job creation and trade growth.
The Tourism Advisor will design, implement, and monitor MSD interventions, working closely with public and private stakeholders to identify barriers, scale business models, and promote sustainable sector growth.
Key duties include supporting MRM systems, conducting research and field coordination, facilitating capacity building, and contributing to reporting and learning. The role requires expertise in tourism development, MSD, trade promotion, stakeholder engagement, and project management within Uganda’s context.

This contract will be administered on behalf of ITC by UNOPS. This vacancy is open for locally residing nationals of Uganda. Applicants must be authorized to work in the duty station where the position is located. Eligible applicants selected from outside the duty station are responsible for any expenses in connection with their relocation to the duty station.
