Trade for Jobs Uganda (2025–2030), co-led by the ILO and ITC with Sida funding, uses a market systems development (MSD) approach to promote decent employment through trade in Uganda’s dairy and tourism sectors.
The Advisor will support the design and implementation of MSD interventions addressing trade barriers, coordinate with public and private partners, and contribute to systemic solutions that enhance trade, competitiveness, and job creation.
Responsibilities include technical guidance, coordination with ministries, monitoring and results measurement, reporting, and organizing capacity-building activities. The role requires strong trade knowledge, project management experience, teamwork, and adaptability to evolving project needs.
Additional Information
This contract will be administered on behalf of ITC by UNOPS. This vacancy is open for locally residing nationals of Uganda. Applicants must be authorized to work in the duty station where the position is located. Eligible applicants selected from outside the duty station are responsible for any expenses in connection with their relocation to the duty station.
