This is an intervention summary from the MSD for employment (MSD4E) landscape assessment which was undertaken by the MSD4E Community of Practice and funded by the ILO, Mercy Corps and Swisscontact. It is based on self-reported information from individual MSD programmes, reviewed and compiled in a common structure to enable learning across the field of MSD4E.
The intervention focuses on establishing affordable, accessible and quality childcare services at Bole Lemi Industrial Park in Addis Ababa through a public private partnership (PPP) model. Targeting women and youth employed at the industrial park, it aims to alleviate workplace challenges due to lack of childcare.
