This is an intervention summary from the MSD for employment (MSD4E) landscape assessment which was undertaken by the MSD4E Community of Practice and funded by the ILO, Mercy Corps and Swisscontact. It is based on self-reported information from individual MSD programmes, reviewed and compiled in a common structure to enable learning across the field of MSD4E.
The main purpose of the intervention was to improve farmers’ economic wellbeing by providing them financial incentives which facilitate their access to productive and environmentally sustainable technologies.
Technical assistance was also provided to induce and accelerate technology investments amongst targeted smallholder women and men farmers and business clients.
