This is an intervention summary from the MSD for employment (MSD4E) landscape assessment which was undertaken by the MSD4E Community of Practice and funded by the ILO, Mercy Corps and Swisscontact. It is based on self-reported information from individual MSD programmes, reviewed and compiled in a common structure to enable learning across the field of MSD4E.
This intervention involved partnering with a national teacher training institute for TVET to train facilitators across the country in gender-responsive pedagogy.
Through an existing network of teacher training institutes, this change has the potential to reach all TVET teachers in Ghana in order to reshape gender norms within TVET that make it more accessible for women.
Long-term, this is part of a change that can make non-traditional trades more accessible to women too.
