This is an intervention summary from the MSD for employment (MSD4E) landscape assessment which was undertaken by the MSD4E Community of Practice and funded by the ILO, Mercy Corps and Swisscontact. It is based on self-reported information from individual MSD programmes, reviewed and compiled in a common structure to enable learning across the field of MSD4E.
Mercy Corps partnered with Bayt, Jordan’s largest digital job-matching platform, to create the country's first online platform dedicated specifically to blue-collar and basic-skills jobs.
It aims to address challenges faced by blue-collar workers including limited networks for employment and a lack of awareness about job vacancies and application procedures.
The platform features a user-friendly interface with recognisable icons, a CV builder tool, and incorporates popular cartoon characters in its national marketing and outreach efforts.
