This is an intervention summary from the MSD for employment (MSD4E) landscape assessment which was undertaken by the MSD4E Community of Practice and funded by the ILO, Mercy Corps and Swisscontact. It is based on self-reported information from individual MSD programmes, reviewed and compiled in a common structure to enable learning across the field of MSD4E.
The intervention focuses on developing tourism products in Kosovo through public-private collaboration to address the lack of attractions and activities.
It supports local associations and the private sector with expertise and funding to create international-standard products while working with the public sector for permits and funding. Services such as technical expertise and safety checks are channelled through national institutions for sustainability.
The goal is to enhance Kosovo's tourism offer, attract more tourists, boost the local economy, create jobs and foster sustainable development.
