This is an intervention summary from the MSD for employment (MSD4E) landscape assessment which was undertaken by the MSD4E Community of Practice and funded by the ILO, Mercy Corps and Swisscontact. It is based on self-reported information from individual MSD programmes, reviewed and compiled in a common structure to enable learning across the field of MSD4E.
This intervention promotes and strengthens self-employment through freelancing opportunities in North Macedonia by providing training, mentorship and policy advocacy.
It leverages similar initiatives in the Western Balkans, specifically building on the lessons learned from the ‘Women Online Work’ (WOW) project in Kosovo, supported by the Enhancing Youth Employment project of the Swiss Agency for Development and Cooperation (SDC), implemented by Helvetas.
