This is an intervention summary from the MSD for employment (MSD4E) landscape assessment which was undertaken by the MSD4E Community of Practice and funded by the ILO, Mercy Corps and Swisscontact. It is based on self-reported information from individual MSD programmes, reviewed and compiled in a common structure to enable learning across the field of MSD4E.
The pilot intervention aimed to improve the partnership between employers, non-formal training/career orientation service providers and job seekers (especially young people and women).
Cooperation between the various market players and an effectively functioning skills development system can help reduce unemployment and create more and more diverse opportunities for the target group.
