This is an intervention summary from the MSD for employment (MSD4E) landscape assessment which was undertaken by the MSD4E Community of Practice and funded by the ILO, Mercy Corps and Swisscontact. It is based on self-reported information from individual MSD programmes, reviewed and compiled in a common structure to enable learning across the field of MSD4E.
The intervention aims to strengthen the provision of information security services to enable the private sector to access foreign markets and is structured around three main pillars:
- Pillar 1: Demand side - enhancing the regulatory framework to boost the demand for cybersecurity and data protection services
- Pillar 2: Strengthen the service provision market - supporting local service providers in developing new cybersecurity and data protection advisory services to cater to the growing demand
- Pillar 3: Skills development - preparing the workforce to meet the increasing demand for cyber and information security skills. It involves collaborating with non-formal training centres to create and implement modern, relevant training programmes
