Reporting to the Global Programmes Director, the Country Director will lead a Kenya-based team of three initially (consisting of one Project Manager, one Community Engagement Officer, and a part-time Finance and Admin Officer).
They will work closely with the Renewable World global team (UK and Nepal), particularly the Global Programme Director (UK-based) and Global Technical Lead (Nepal-based).
Renewable World is moving into a market activation role, which requires that we bring together the private sector, government, communities and other actors to improve energy access for the poor, drawing on our extensive experience of community mobilisation, market-driven approaches, technology innovation, and boosting livelihoods and the productive use of energy.
