Consultant to research the nexus of MSD and Trade

The DCED Working Group on MSD requires a short-term consultant to research and analyse lessons arising from applying the MSD approach to achieve trade-related outcomes. The consultant will have up to 30 days to conduct initial desk-based research, identify relevant cases, interview programme staff and synthesise findings. The final output prepared for donor and practitioner audiences will be presented at the DCED's Global Seminar in Nairobi.

The work must be completed by end June 2024. It will be commissioned through the World Bank Group's process for employing short-term consultants.

Additional Information

Candidates will assessed based on:

  1. Demonstrated experience (ideally) of applying and analysing application of MSD in trade. Understanding of the application of MSD approach across multiple sectors and settings with relevance to trade can be substituted. 
  2. Proven capacity to produce high quality analytical outputs presented in way that is accessible to generalists. 
  3. Capacity to share analytical work in written and oral form in English with varied audiences.
