This report examines a methodology critical in designing employment interventions aimed at achieving systemic change: Systems Labour Market Assessments (SLMAs). It was piloted in Haiti and Zimbabwe.
The report details the SLMA process in both countries, assessing multiple market systems and proposing interventions, as well as describing lessons learned.
This study generated a tremendous amount of learning around job opportunities for vulnerable communities in Haiti and Zimbabwe, and how humanitarian and development implementers can approach employment programming through a new, more systemic lens.
