This slide deck is from a USAID local systems community event that took place in May 2024.
It examined evidence from ex-post evaluations, focusing on:
- USAID-funded activities that were closed for at least 3 years, had a delayed follow-on, and intentionally sought to facilitate systemic change
- Activities with emerging evidence of systemic change at closure
- Specific systemic changes to which the Activity contributed
It looked specifically at two studies:
- Lasting roots: ADVANCE II and the outgrower business model in Ghana
- Lasting roots: an ex post study in Senegal of Naatal Mbay and the integrated finance model
