The Transition States Coordination Office (RDTS) is partnering with the World Economic Forum’s Humanitarian and Resilience Investing (HRI) Initiative to commission a study aimed at developing an implementation roadmap for HRI in Africa.

The WEF-HRI Call to Action, with its ambitious aim of enabling local and international businesses to grow in frontier markets is aligned with AfDB’s 2022 Strategy for Addressing Fragility and Building Resilience which emphasizes catalyzing private investments into fragile and conflict-affected situations.

The project’s key outcomes will include the mapping and identification of geographies that best fit the frontier market criteria within the context of the HRI initiative. It will also engage with governments, humanitarian, development, and peace actors, and private investors across the investment continuum to set specific and time-bound targets to achieve the ambitions of the HRI until 2030.
