Designing innovative financial solutions across nutritious food value chains

This Request For Proposals seeks a qualified organisation or individual to support GAIN in designing innovative financing solutions for selected nutritious food value chains.

The assignment will take a system-level perspective, diagnosing financing needs across value chain actors and recommending digital and non-digital financial solutions that can be delivered through partnerships and existing market mechanisms.

The work will focus on four priority value chains - vegetables, poultry, fish and dairy - serving primarily domestic and regional markets.

The consultant will develop a clear, actionable financing architecture, including microloans for smallholder farmers and last-mile vendors, early-stage finance for agri-food SMEs, and working capital and asset finance for micro- and small-scale distributors.
