Yarn Group is a Product Segment Group (PSG) of TNNA, just like Needlepoint, Counted Thread and Embroidery, and Spinning and Weaving. Think of the PSGs as affinity groups, or clubs, within the organization who can work together through their membership to foster change in the organization to benefit their members, or can join together as like-minded business people to create programming at the shows, and beyond. Yarn Group focuses the information of the larger organization onto the information which most affects your business, helping filter out the items that may not be of interest to you or relevant to your business. Being a member of Yarn Group is like joining a team – and we want YOU!

your answer to the question “What is Yarn Group?“
There is a place in Yarn Group for anyone who is a member of TNNA (including affiliate members) whose business is related to yarn or yarn products.
- Shop owners (brick and mortar and online)
- Manufacturers (large and small)
- Fiber Artists
- and more!
My vision for the future of Yarn Group is to put the store of knowledge that TNNA already has to good use. It’s a work in progress, and with your help we can make TNNA a clearinghouse of industry information. TNNA already maintains decades worth of information on the industry that, like any good history teacher will tell you, can help steer our industry into the future. One of the great things about Yarn Group is that together we have the power to institute the change we want to see. Would you like to have access to yarn related:
- Job listings
- Call for submissions listings
- Starting a business guides
- Member directories with easily searchable profiles
- Discounts between members
- Classified listings
- Event postings
- Teaching opportunities
- Scholarship programs
- Industry news
- Best practices guidelines
- Legal resources
I would too! And we are working hard to make it happen, but we need your support. Through membership we have power, so if you’re not a Yarn Group member, consider becoming one today.
