Helvetas seeks an International Team Leader (100%, Tbilisi) for its Local Economic Development project in Georgia (MSD/LED; Phase I 2023–26, with later phases).
Lead strategy, team coaching, partner engagement, compliance, finance/admin, DCED-aligned MRM, knowledge management and external representation, ensuring inclusive, sustainable outcomes.
Requirements: 10+ years in development/humanitarian work, 5+ in project leadership, Georgia context expertise, PCM/RBM/SDC know-how, DCED/MRM skills, GESI/environment mainstreaming, excellent English (Georgian strong asset). International contract; purpose-driven culture.
Additional Information
The project focuses on Local Economic Development (LED) in Georgia, using both Market Systems Development and LED approaches to:
- Improve living conditions and expand opportunities for citizens.
- Reduce regional disparities in development.
- Strengthen local actors’ capacities and foster dialogue among stakeholders.
- Stimulate private sector engagement and participatory decision-making.
- Promote inclusive and sustainable growth through systemic, facilitative interventions that support private sector development in selected sectors.
