Private sector engagement (PSE): checklist tool for identifying bottlenecks & root causes in partnership processes

This checklist tool helps development actors identify and resolve bottlenecks in private sector engagement by highlighting early warning signs and diagnosing root causes like misaligned expectations or unclear value propositions. 

Though developed for USAID, it is highly transferable to NGOs, donors, and implementers. The tool supports structured dialogue and adaptive problem-solving, making partnerships more effective. 

It is especially relevant to MSD, where strong collaboration and functional partnerships are critical to enabling systemic change. By improving coordination and reducing friction, the tool strengthens supporting functions within market systems.
