This Market Systems Resilience Index (MSRI) report evaluates the resilience of market systems and households in Mozambique’s Beira Corridor, focusing on their ability to withstand and adapt to shocks such as climate change and COVID-19.

It combines system and household-level indicators to guide adaptive programming. It found that market actors - especially mid-sized firms - are generally more resilient than households, due to better feedback systems and diversity. Households showed strength in redundancy but scored low in collaboration and inclusion.

The MSRI also provided policy and programmatic recommendations for market system strengthening.
