This annex presents the first-year monitoring results of the EREA programme, a Caritas Switzerland market systems initiative supporting berries, medicinal and aromatic plants, and fruit and vegetable processing in Kosovo.
Structured around the programme's DCED-aligned results framework, it reports progress against indicators covering income and employment, market access, finance, policy engagement, gender and social inclusion and climate-smart agriculture, each with targets, cumulative achievements and percentage progress.
Narrative sections describe underlying interventions, including contract farming, invoice factoring, infrastructure investment, advisory service studies, certification support, trade fair and study visit participation, an advocacy and lobbying capacity-building programme, and pilot projects on smart irrigation, fog irrigation and heat exchangers.
Gender-disaggregated beneficiary data and case examples illustrate outcomes for women-led businesses and non-majority communities.
As a first-year report, it notes that several outcome areas, particularly environmental sustainability uptake and policy change, show early-stage rather than mature results.
