This report assesses the feasibility of introducing climate-smart agriculture (CSA) practices across four value chains in Kosovo - non-wood forest products, medicinal and aromatic plants, berries and fruit and vegetable processing.

It combines desk research on national climate and agricultural strategies with in-depth interviews and focus group discussions involving farmers, government officials and agribusinesses to identify sector-specific climate risks and adoption barriers.

The bulk of the report sets out tailored technical interventions for each value chain and details six proposed pilot projects, covering high tunnels, microclimate management, heat exchangers, solar water heating, water filtration and smart irrigation, with technical specifications, costings and feasibility notes for each.

Further sections outline a capacity-building strategy for extension services and knowledge transfer, and a monitoring and evaluation framework built around the FAO's approach, including indicator matrices for tracking pilot performance. Annexes list additional proposed interventions and summarise relevant national agro-environmental strategies.
