I have over 18 years’ experience in international development and women’s empowerment (including 14 years in Mozambique). I joined TechnoServe Mozambique in 2018, where I led Business Women Connect, a women’s entrepreneurship and financial inclusion program, and transitioned a few years later to leading Women IN Business (WIN), and MSD program focused on women’s economic empowerment. Throughout this time, I also have provided advisory services and training to programs and staff on gender responsive programming as the gender lead for the country office. I previously ran an ethical fashion label employing and training women from vulnerable backgrounds in Pemba; and I have worked as a research consultant, M&E officer and project coordinator in programs related to sustainable livelihoods and migration with a gender lens. I hold a Master’s in International Development from Lisbon University Institute and a Bachelor in Social Studies from McGill University, Montreal.
