Intervention description
The annual report for FY2023 highlights several interventions aimed at improving market systems. Specific activities included job creation and entrepreneurship initiatives in both agricultural and non-agricultural sectors.
The programme collaborated with microfinance institutions, local enterprises and other market actors to promote new business models and financial products. One notable intervention was creating 6,815 jobs for youth, including positions for youth farmers, agricultural workers and technicians.
The programme partners adopted the promoted models, showing high levels of engagement and adaptation. Additionally, 94 per cent of women and 91 per cent of youth expressed alignment with the programme goals, indicating strong partner support and intent to continue these models beyond the programme's support.
