This is an intervention summary from the MSD for employment (MSD4E) landscape assessment which was undertaken by the MSD4E Community of Practice and funded by the ILO, Mercy Corps and Swisscontact. It is based on self-reported information from individual MSD programmes, reviewed and compiled in a common structure to enable learning across the field of MSD4E.
This intervention seeks to grow the business process outsourcing (BPO) sector for ICT by connecting to international markets.
The pilot intervention activities were implemented by Helvetas and initiated in Serbia, North Macedonia, Kosovo and Montenegro. They were designed by building on the knowledge of successful models tested by the RisiAlbania project in Albania, the MarketMakers project in Bosnia & Herzegovina, and the Swiss Agency for Development and Cooperation (SDC).
