This is an intervention summary from the MSD for employment (MSD4E) landscape assessment which was undertaken by the MSD4E Community of Practice and funded by the ILO, Mercy Corps and Swisscontact. It is based on self-reported information from individual MSD programmes, reviewed and compiled in a common structure to enable learning across the field of MSD4E.
S4J has partnered with VET schools to overhaul their internal management systems to be more responsive to the labour market and better prepare students.
This includes:
- structural changes to the board and management
- strategy changes
- IT-based management
- regular tracer surveys of graduates
- new internal ‘development units’ (DUs) providing career services and labour market orientation
